How do I assign a writing task to the students?

You can create a writing assignment with a deadline from three places — it is the same assignment regardless of where you start:

• From the group. Create a post in the group and select writing assignment. The group will then be selected for you.
• From Write. The Writing Assignments button at the top of the page.
• From the Teacher Portal. The Writing Assignment field.

Students write in Write and submit their work there.

Once they have submitted, you can see:

• The text itself, with Språki’s feedback.
• A class overview of the recurring error patterns across the submissions.
• Each student's writing development over time.

You can write your own comment to the student, and you can choose to withhold Språki’s feedback until you have reviewed the text yourself — useful when the assignment is a test.
