What can I do in Språki?

Here is everything Språki currently includes.

Speaking

• Conversation — talk with Språki about a topic or in a specific situation: at the store, at an internship, at a job interview. You hear the response and see the text at the same time.
• Pronunciation — read a sentence out loud and find out how accurate your pronunciation was.

Reading

• Stories — short texts at your level, followed by exercises.
• Books — longer readers with audio, pictures, and word definitions.
• Read from image — take a photo of a document, upload a PDF or Word file, or paste text to have it read aloud and explained.

Listening

• Listening stories — listen to a text and answer questions.
• Språki Chat — podcast episodes in Norwegian, with a transcript you can follow along with.

Writing

• Writing — writing exercises with feedback on what you have written: what is good, and what you should review.

Words

• Dictionary — look up words, see examples, inflections, and explanations in your language.
• Word lists — create your own lists or use your teacher’s.
• Practice — games and exercises that repeat words until you remember them.
• Visual dictionary — learn words by tapping on items in large illustrations.

Work

• Workplace Norwegian — Norwegian for working life: professions, HSE, chatting with colleagues, and internships.
• Job application — help with writing cover letters and CVs.

Tools

• Translator — translate between Norwegian and over 50 languages.
• Create images — generate images to use in your texts.
• Tools — read text from images, have text read aloud, or record audio.
